Our client is a growing specialist contractor and manufacturer to the construction industry with projects both in Ireland & the UK. They have built up a solid book of business working with many General Contractors and are seeking to recruit a qualified Buyer/Purchasing Officer.
You will have a purchasing qualification, +3 years experience within the construction industry. Duties include setting up a purchasing system, resource planning including dealing with vendors as the company's point of contact in the purchase and seeing orders through of domestic and commercial product for the manufacturing floor and site crews.
You will also be involved in the sourcing and pre-selection process of vendors and suppliers.
This position requires a flexible candidate with the ability to adapt as the company and your role within the organisation evolves and has the potential to grow into a Purchasing & Materials Director.
All successful candidates will have strong written and verbal communications skills, and be highly computer literate with excellent Excel skills.
This is a senior role in the organisation presenting a unique opportunity to become a key member of staff involved in numerous projects both in Ireland and abroad.
