Job Description
As part of the Planning department, the Production Planner will ensure the plant meets its customer service requirements, financial management, inventory management, quality and safety goals through the effective management of its Bulk Reagents and Diagnostic Products.
Responsibilities:
· Using the inventory control systems (BPCS, MES, Planboard), ensuring input of affiliates requirements on the system and level schedule to satisfy affiliates requirements.
· Generating MPS reports (as necessary) and MRP reports to establish production requirements for bulk supplies and establish a production schedule.
· Generating purchase requisitions as necessary and ensuring that the material is released within the agreed timescale.
· Create new product Bill of Materials (BOM).
· Change and update existing BOM'S to ensure accurate and timely customer requirements.
· Prepare documentation for the disposal of all obsolete or rejected materials in accordance with the company policies and procedures.
· Monitor and Control inventories of Bulk suppliers W.I.P and finished goods ensuring achievement of plant inventory level goals.
· Maintain high standard in housekeeping and GMP.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
· The ability to work on your own initiative and also as part of a team.
· Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
· A flexible and innovative approach to work.
· The ability to work with people at all levels of the organization both internally and externally.
Education & Experience:
You will possess either a diploma in purchasing, a general degree or have completed the APICS examinations along with at lease 2/3 years experience in a production planning manufacturing environment.
