MySQL Database Engineer
Our client, one of the most recognised and influential companies operating on a global scale, is seeking to hire the best MySQL engineers available. You will be working on one of the largest MySQL databases anywhere in the world. The scale of our client's systems cannot be underestimated and your skills and experience will be pushed to their limit. You will be continually learning and you need to be able to thrive in a high-pressured, mission critical environment. You will always be seeking new solutions and never be satisfied that the best conclusion has been reached.
Technically you will need to demonstrate several years experience working with mid-large scale MySQL databases. You will have experience of developing and augmenting existing frameworks and be highly skilled in task automation. You should also have experience with performance tuning, optimization, installation, upgrades, deployments and clustering technologies.
Additionally you will have at least two years experience developing and writing production level scripts in Shell (Bash, AWK, Korn) and also one or more of Perl, PHP and Python as well as administration of InnoDB (at a large scale) and Linux administration.
