Job description:

Duties

To perform credit controls and checks so that overdue transactions are kept to a minimum

To deal with existing and new customers in a professional and efficient manner

To review difficult accounts and agree on appropriate actions to take

To perform periodic reports on the credit control situation which will inform management of the current organisational credit status

To deliver excellent service at all times to both the customers of the business and to the management of the business when required

To secure timely payment of accounts and reduce the risk of bad debts

To run and send out reminder and direct debit letters, keeping records of letters on file.

To manage customer accounts, statement requests and incentives

To maintain direct debit spreadsheets and collect DDs accurately

Assist junior members of staff.

Qualifications

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both as a team player and own his/her own initiative

Sound numerical skills

The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines

Good knowledge of administration and computer software such as MS Office

Flexibility, a positive attitude and strong customer focus
