Job description: Online Business Analyst

Our client has experienced significant growth in the last year the team needs to expand its Business and Data Analyst team. This team plays a key role in providing analytical competence and they are now looking to hire a Junior Business & Data Analyst.

This is a dynamic role in one of Ireland's most exciting and fast paced places of work, you will be required to bring your expertise and initiative in the areas of data analysis, data modelling and e-commerce.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

· Data Analysis and Management Reporting

· Improve and manage all regular data analysis and reporting within the Online team

· Working with Senior Analyst and Management, review current reporting processes and output

· Design a reporting infrastructure to report on all marketing activities covering areas such as acquisition, conversion, retention and reactivation

· Working with the Senior Analyst, in consultation with all members of the Online team and Senior Management, design a programme of data analysis

· Marketing Campaign Analysis and Review

· Working with the Senior Analyst, redesign reporting and analysis for both pre- and post-marketing campaign analysis

· Improving accuracy, timeliness and relevance

Skills and Experience

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to relate to both business and IT specialists

· Extremely comfortable using graphs and other illustrative tools to present large volumes of data

· Attention to detail and ability to work to exacting deadlines

· Pro-active problem solver attitude with flexibility to work across different units

· Strong work ethic complemented by a positive, can-do attitude

· Accuracy and consistency in work

· University degree or equivalent required, Computer Science, Mathematics or other technical qualification preferred

· Experience with at least one report-writing tool (Hyperion, Cognos, Business Objects, etc.)

· Basic knowledge of SQL required

· Ability in Microsoft Excel and Excel VBA a distinct advantage

· Experience working with an online brand or telecoms desirable
