A unique opportunity has arisen for a part qualified accountant (either through audit practice or industry) to make the transition into one of the top global stock broking houses, a company that spans both industry and the financial services sectors.
Experience and expertise will be obtained from working in this US multinational.
Company
The group develops state of the art technology to complement its trading activities. Following training, the successful candidate will independently manage all aspects of our European market data function as well as the foreign exchange settlement process with one of our major clients.
Duties
· Be the sole point of contact for all European market data related issues and manage all European aspects of the FITS market data enablement system
· Enable and disable worldwide clients and internal users for European market data on the FITS system in accordance with our market data policy
· Report internal and external market data usage in accordance with the various European exchange's reporting requirements
· Input market data invoices from the exchanges into the FITS enablement system and reconcile user numbers and charges against the expected values in FITS
· Prepare monthly reports for management and other internal users that show client enablement's, revenues and costs. Actively manage market data costs by proposing deactivations for users which are not trading with ITG and gain approval from relevant client relationship managers
· Liaise closely with the relevant client relationship managers of our office to ensure client's European market data requirements are understood and correctly set up in FITS
· Liaise with exchanges when they audit reported market data user numbers
· Invoice relevant clients for market data on a monthly basis and ensure payment is received on a timely basis
· Monitor our FX trading activities on a daily basis and reconcile FX deals to client trades to ensure FX deals are performed correctly
· Issue payment for FX deals performed and ensure receipt of the corresponding cash from the client on a timely basis
Qualifications
· Part qualified accountant with a strong academic track record at leaving cert and professional exams
· Experience of multiple currencies
· Good interpersonal and customer service skills
· Quality mindset - with commitment to continuous improvement and delivering right solutions first time
· Good PC skills, in particular Excel
· Excellent analytical skills
· Experience with a market data reporting package desirable but not essential
