GL Specialist, Dublin 4 immediate start and salary DOE circa 50-60,000, initially contract.
My client a large MNC in the city-centre currently have an immediate requirement for a Qualified Accountant (ACA highly regarded) for the following new role:
The General Ledger Specialist would be involved in the coordination and completion of the consolidation process, ensuring that the financial statements are accurate and filed on time. The GL Specialist would also assist in the planning process to ensure buy in and co-ordination between all stakeholders.
The GL Specialist will form part of a specialised team focused on the on-time and accurate completion of consolidated statements. The successful candidate needs to be able to demonstrate strong, effective interpersonal skills in line with my clients values.
There are additional operational areas where the General Ledger Specialist could become involved. These include:
· Acquisitions
· Divestitures
· Queries/analytical requests from Global HQ in the States
· Accounting issues and tasks that arise from statutory reporting
· Assistance with other consolidations within the Group as required
The General Ledger Specialist would take responsibility for the above tasks, with oversight/guidance from the Consolidations Group Lead. There are also a number of project responsibilities that may arise.
This role will focus specifically on the consolidation of approximately 30 entities for local statutory filing purposes.
