.NET Software Developer required for my client based in Cork
Role:
The primary role will be to Design, and Build applications primarily in .Net (particularly ASP .Net within a N-Tier environment)
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of networking and database skills and be particularly comfortable with Microsoft SQL server 2005. The successful candidate should be familiar with OOAD including UML.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Design, Build project proposals based on Clients requirements
- Establish and modify databases
- Develop reporting tools which accurately and efficiently provide information in a timely manner to managers and clients
- Fully Document completed Projects
- Deliver quality software Applications on time, and within scope.
- Provide 3rd level ICT support to resolve all reported ICT incidents with Application Developed internally.
- Confer with primary database users to determine modifications, adjustments needed and to troubleshoot problems
- Insure Training Documentation is created for both Users and ICT 1st Level ICT Support
- Ensure handover of support is passed to ICT Helpdesk
- Deliver training to Trainers and ICT support Staff where applicable
- Adherence to Company best practices in software development
- Ensure all Application meet the company Security Standards
Technical Skills Required:
- Must have built .net web application using AJAX. 1-2 years experience writing applications in VB.Net, C# and ASP.Net using Visual Studio 2003, 2005
- Must have strong JavaScript skills
- Good Database Skills and be particularly comfortable with Microsoft SQL server and TSQL
- Good Data Manipulation Skills
- Knowledge of IIS 6.0
- Knowledge of Credit card processing and SMS integration is preferable
- Be able to build reports using Crystal Report 10
Skills Required:
· Positive, enthusiastic, energetic and self motivated
· Excellent timekeeping, punctuality and attention to detail. Well-developed organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to multi-task effectively
· Teamwork is an integral part of the role, but candidates should also have the ability to work on their own initiative and work effectively under pressure
