Job description: A Westmeath multi national manufacturing company requires a Senior Safety Specialist. You will be responsible for plan and implement safety and security compliance or improvement programmes to enhance site safety performance as assigned by Safety Manage. Maintain site safety and security management systems or elements thereof assigned by Safety Manager. Monitor safety performance. Enter safety actions, incidents etc. into database and track to completion. Maintain safety key performance metrics and prepare weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports. Ensure that training activities are appropriately designed, planned and communicated. Maintain department procedures and work instructions and ensure appropriate distribution and training. You will have 2+ years industry experience with a Safety qualification desirable. Safety training & experience essential. Must be able to objectively assess risks and respond accordingly. Needs to be able to enforce safety requirements & address issues.
