Job description: Hr Manager Responsible for directing the Human Resource Department, overseeing the administration of the compensation and benefits programmes, overseeing training programmes company-wide, and planning for the development of our client's human resources. Responsibilities: · Oversee the administration of the Human Resources Department and Reception. · Develop policies and procedures for the company and ensure compliance of same in a fair manner. · Manage the recruitment and selection of personnel in conjunction with department managers. · Select employee benefit packages and manage the administration of employee benefits. · Control performance and salary reviews to ensure consistency. · Attend management meetings and make recommendations for organisational changes and updates. · Review current legislation affecting the company and applicable departments and ensure compliance with same. · Complete orientation of new employees and full orientation quarterly. · Work on special projects as assigned by the Managing Director. · Health & Safety Officer for the Company, ensuring a safe environment for all employees and compliance with H&S legislation, conducting audits. · Develop and implement annual Goals & Objectives for the department and ensure completion of same. · Develop and monitor departmental budgets. · Assist department heads and managers in meeting human resource management needs, and provide staff assistance to help other departments to achieve human resource management goals. · Assess opportunities for the improvement of the organisation, including the management of change and the implementation of Total Quality Management principles, and serve as an organisation consultant in helping department heads and supervisors to make such improvements. · Perform a variety of related duties, as required. Qualifications: · Education equivalent to degree level and/or CIPD qualification. · Three to five years experience in a multi-national or related human resource environment at a senior level. · Knowledge of human resource management policies and applicable legislation. · Strong interpersonal skills, including a basic understanding of human behaviour and motivation and the ability to serve as a staff resource in removing barriers which stand in the way of performance and productivity. · Ability to work effectively with others in a staff capacity to assist other managers to understand human resource policies and implement them effectively. · Ability to assist others to manage change and implement Total Quality Management concepts. Excellent management and supervisory skills and an understanding of their application in a manufacturing setting. · Ability to meet organisational objectives and deadlines while meeting the expectations of the Managing Director and the needs of the company.
