Job description:

Big 4 firm based in Cork looking for Tax Director.

• They provide tax and legal services to major multi-national corporations, Semi-State organisations, a variety of significant privately owned Irish companies and high net worth individuals based in the Cork region.
• Their clients operate in a large range of different industries such as retail and consumer, pharmaceuticals, engineering and construction, food, energy and utilities, and technology.
• This broad base provides their staff with challenging and rewarding career opportunities.
• In order to provide their clients with a comprehensive solutions package, their tax consultants regularly liaise with colleagues in the VAT, Customs and Human Resource Services groups.
• They also work closely with their colleagues in overseas offices, with audit teams and with their colleagues in legal services.
• Ultimately, they utilise this internal network of knowledge to assist them in bringing state of the art solutions to their clients.

The Role:

• They are seeking an experienced Tax Director for their Cork office.
• The successful candidate will specialise in advising indigenous corporate clients and high net worth clients.
• This role would involve reporting to the Tax Partner on a variety of consulting/compliance assignments.
• The role is quite a general one in nature as it involves advising on both corporate and personal tax planning.
• Corporate clients are generally indigenous companies/groups.

Requirements:

• On the non-corporate part of the role, experience in redundancy programmes, PAYE health checks/Revenue audits is essential.
• They are looking for the successful candidate to play a key role in our business, managing existing client relationships and developing new ones with a high level of autonomy.
• The candidate will also have direct responsibility for the management and development of a team of tax professionals.
• Ideally you will be AITI qualified with a minimum of 1 year's experience at Director level.
• Ability to manage Tax affairs of large multi-nationals of Irish & foreign jurisdictions
