The Role

This is a very proactive - cross dimensional shipping role that will require high energy, excellent problem solving skills and an ability to build relation ships within a global network for a world recognised product.

This interactive role will liaise with carriers in Europe, Warehousing Management, Shipping Agencies, Customers / Re-Sellers / Distributors, Embassies as well as internal departments such as Finance, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing and Quality

Key Responsibilities

• Imports - processing shipping documentation, liaising with finance and agents to ensure all information is correct
• Exports - Taking all sales orders from international sales and marketing representatives
• Checking availability, lead times and advising customer of the same
• Maintenance of all export shipping documentation
• Coordinating stock level checks with warehouse staff remotely
• Generating Letters of Credit - Preparation of documentation to raise a credit for customers, coordinating returns
• Checking pricing on in-house shipping systems
• Coordination of specific batches to distributors globally, ensuring each batch has the correct documentation for the country of destination
• Allocation of stock for customers

Required Experience

• The successful candidate will have an in-depth knowledge of Shipping (Deep Sea, Air or Road), Freight Forwarding, Supply chain Administration support for a company ideally in the manufacturing / industry - previous experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods is advantageous
• Working knowledge of customs requirements, tariffs, invoicing and letters of credit
• Flexible attitude, strong problem solving abilities
• Strong shipping / ordering systems experience, fully conversant in MS Word and MS Excel.
• Strong communication skills
• Proven ability to multi task, highly organised, commercially aware
• Team focussed, bright and motivated
