Job description: Our client are currently looking to recruit an Audit Consultant- EUROPE. There is 75% travel involved in this role.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Audit Consultant will execute Corporate Audit projects in Europe. Specifically, the Audit Consultant will participate in project teams on engagements reviewing and validating business processes, systems, financial and operational controls, assessing financial and management reporting and business practices, and identifying opportunities for increasing cash-flows and profitability.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Planning engagements in the light of risk assessments, changes in business activities, etc. in conjunction with the Manager, Director, and other team members,
Participating in Corporate Audit site visits at company's locations. Performing audit work in connection with financial processes (inspection, discussion, re-performance, analysis, etc.), and documenting the results of that audit work in accordance with internal audit best practice.
As well as financial reviews, there will be an emphasis on compliance-related activities resulting from the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
Reporting the results of audit and other engagements, including written audit reports, participating in closing meetings, etc.
Responsible for identifying operational efficiencies and reporting those findings to management.
Maintaining and developing relationships within Baxter's European finance, IT and general management teams - in essence, acting as an ambassador for Corporate Audit.

Skills Required;
Strong business acumen. Curious and willing to learn. Flexible and hard worker
Minimum of 5-6 years experience of accounting / auditing activities is required. Previous S-ox 404 exposure would be beneficial.
English fluency (written and spoken); fluency in one or more European languages would be beneficial, preferably Spanish or German
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, internal controls and information systems (with an academic background to degree level in one or more of these disciplines).
