Job description: VB.NET Developer Dublin City CentreMy client is a well established Funds management company who are a key player in the managed futures industry. They manage an international investment business across financial futures, foreign exchange and global equity markets.Located in Dublin city centre my client has an opportunity for a VB.NET developer to join their team.In this role candidates will be exposed to technologies such as VB.NET, Microsoft SQL Server, and IBM Cognos, Sales force APIs, with a view to exploring other technologies also.. You will be involved in the implementation of products from end to end, including user and technical requirements, development and user acceptance. This role will also involve working closely with developers in a Scrum environment. As a result ideal candidates will have previous experience working within a team and also dealing with end users of all levels. This role would suit candidates who have a vision of expanding their C# knowledge as my client will also be gradually migrating to C# for new development. (no re-writing of existing systems)My client is looking for developers with at least 5 years experience working with VB.NET and SQL Server. You will also have a passion for technology and express a willingness to work with new technologies as the role evolves.The successful candidate in 2-3 years time will be established as a senior software developer who works on very large projects with access to additional developer resources.
