Chemical Engineers - South Tipperary

Our client has a manufacturing plant in Ireland, located in South Tipperary; developing, launching and manufacturing the active ingredients of a wide range of drug products for both market supply and clinical studies.

Recently commenced construction of a new Formulation R&D and Manufacturing facility on site, will offer unrivalled career opportunities within the API sector.The facility will develop innovative methods for the formulation of new products from pilot to commercial scale and supply tablets and capsules for late stage clinical trials. Additionally it will manufacture launch quantities of newly approved products and support initial years of market supply. To support this exciting new opportunity we invite applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the following positions.

Process Engineers

You are a key individual contributor who will lead process and equipment optimisation, with responsibility to develop and implement improvement initiatives in the areas of cost reduction, process efficiency and operational excellence. You will provide dynamic technical support to the Production Team Leaders for process/equipment optimisation and troubleshooting. Using strong innovation skills you will engage with cross functional teams to promote and achieve results in continuous improvement activities in a lean manufacturing environment.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years experience in pharmaceutical solid dosage form manufacturing.
  • Bachelors or postgraduate degree in Chemical or Process engineering or a Science related discipline.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a cross functional environment.
  • Proven Project Management skills in a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in R&D, and/or scale-up experience would be considered an advantage.
