Regulatory Affairs Manager (Contract nine months 3 days per week)

My client, a marketing driven food company with a portfolio of internationally prestigious brand names and international brand leaders.

Purpose of Role:

Reporting to the Health Marketing Manager this role is responsible for managing regulatory affairs for site in Ireland.

Accountable for achieving this by developing & implementing regulatory processes.

Sign off all brand communications to ensure compliance with Irish & EU laws

Manage submission process for brand communication.

Support clients marketing team

Manage liaison with key external stakeholders

Key accountabilities:

  • Manage the regulatory process for company site in Ireland, providing technical and supervisory assistance to marketing & senior management.
  • Review & sign off all marketing communications / product labels in accordance with regulatory or marketing requirements.
  • Liaise with central team & R&D managers in preparation & compilation of scientific support dossiers for brand communication.
  • Manage submission of brand communication support dossiers to authorities
  • Keep abreast of all recent regulatory legislation and trends in order to provide appropriate guidance/direction to internal and external stakeholders on all areas of regulatory requirements
  • Assist Health Marketing in brand claims development & communication to HCP's
  • Manage client Quality Control procedures to ensure quality/regulatory standards are met.
  • Manage client group reporting on quality.

Skills & Experience:

Essential ; At least 5 years regulatory affairs experience within FMCG and /or Pharmaceutical industry

Understand consumer communications

A thorough understanding of all Irish, EU and International Regulatory requirements

Experience in claims development & dossier submissions to regulatory bodies.

How to network effectively with all functions:

Marketing

R&D (International)

Regulatory Affairs (International)

Personal Characteristics:

Excellent organisational & time management skills with the ability to prioritise and project manage all work within a team environment.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

A keen eye for detail and accuracy

Self motivation and initiative with the energy and enthusiasm to develop this role

Good interpersonal skills, building strong working with relationships with stakeholders both internal and external.

Commercially / marketing communications aware
