Job description: Software Test Lead

In partnership with its client, Kenny-Whelan is currently seeking a Software Test Lead to work for their client in the Co. Galway area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Graduate in Software Engineering or equivalent
• Software project or test management
• Proven ability to achieve testing and quality outcomes while honouring the project constraints such as scope, timing and budget.
• Software test lead experience, implementation and critical review of software test items
• Software Acceptance Tests
• Software Integration Tests
• Module Tests
• Development of project software test plans
• Development of department software testing strategy
• Participation in software audits
• Software tester mentoring and team leadership
• Familiar with software development models/standards CMMI, ISO15504 etc
• Familiar with concepts and implementation of software testing best practices
• High degree of innovation and creativity in designing/selecting test approaches and tools
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Automotive experience an advantage
• Experience with Automotive CAN and LIN networks would be an advantage.

Skills, Abilities and Education

· Provide test leadership for offsite project team members and report on software test activities as appropriate to the Software Manager and Software Project leads.
· Ensure a consistent and cohesive approach to software testing, across multiple projects.
· Identifying cross-project issues and working with software test team members to identify and implement solutions.
· Implement medium- and long-term test strategy improvements in line with ISO15504
· Ensuring project compliance with company Software Quality processes, ISO15504.
· Participate in Test Technology / Supplier / Tool Selection etc. for new developments
