Tender Sales Manager
Our client is a large Medical Device company who are looking to recruit for a Tender Sales Manager for their plant in Athlone.
This is a senior position. Our client is looking for a candidate with strong tender experience. They must have drive and initiative and be willing to build up a firm structure around the indirect tender business. They must be willing to drive the position and the tender business in the right direction so that sales are maximised. As such, the candidate must have strong business acumen and be sales orientated.
This is not an office based only role. The person needs to be available to travel to meet organisations who are involved in issuing tenders so that they can provide influence over these tenders and, as such, make our clients position more favourable in this area.
The candidate will have 1 person (based in France) reporting to them.
The role itself will be based in Athlone.
Key areas of responsibility
· Set up and integrate the tender department as an integral part of the sales process for the indirect markets
· Design a business plan how the tender department can be adding profitable sales
· Support the regions and dealers with the tenders in the country
· Be active in the field to be on top of the latest developments in the markets.
Skills and competencies
· Good product knowledge on the portfolio
· Deep knowledge about international tender practices
· Fluent in English and one other foreign language
· Travel time (25%)
Education / Experience
· Higher education with a medical knowledge
· 5-7 years of Experience in a similar field / job
The Person
