PURPOSE OF ROLE
Plan, organise and assure all inventory transactions are recorded timely and accurately in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.
To manage the planning of the organisation's resources (including that of co-packers) in full support of customers expectations and requirements. This will involve the optimisation of inventories and the recognition of efficient manufacturing processes.
To pursue continuous improvement initiatives which seek to drive down costs and create a world-class environment within company.
Monitor all inventories (raw materials, packaging, finished goods) to minimise redundant stock due to short shelf life, sales fluctuation, pack changes and quality dispositions.
DUTIES
Responsible for the accuracy and status of both finished goods and raw material inventory
Responsible for the balancing of physical inventory vs. book inventory, this will encompass the organising and execution of annual physical stock count in all locations.
Responsible for fulfilling factory inventory control reports, audits and policies controlling the flow of inventory.
Coordinate the dumping/recording of all obsolete inventories.
Involvement in the development of future ERP projects.
Monitor 3rd party service provider performance and address poor performance where necessary.
To prepare and maintain a twelve-month forward Production Sales Inventory (PSI) model that includes inputs from sales forecasts, marketing promotions, capacity changes, new production developments etc.
To prepare and issue a short term production plan (six weeks) and liaise with purchasing, production and quality departments to ensure the plan is deliverable.
To react to short term changes in demand or supply with the objective of reducing or eliminating cuts.
Ensure that you comply with all environmental health and safety regulations and standards on site. Through your actions ensure compliance to safe working practices from implementation through to positive enforcement/re-enforcement personally.
THE CANDIDATE -
Successful candidate will have previous experience and be well versed in the effective use of integrated planning systems
You will have 2-3 years experience preferably in an FMCG environment
Relevant qualifications are an advantage
