In partnership with its client, Kenny-Whelan is looking for a Production Manager for a permanent role based in West Cork
The Production Manager coordinates all aspects of processing and Depot operations. The focus is on planning, budgeting, control and improvement in processing operations including the following;
Position: Production Manager.
Product: Fish/Shellfish fresh & frozen.
Reporting: Factory Manager & General Manager.
-Good Academic background.
-Proven track racked in Production, storage management.
-Previous experience in fresh fish desirable but person must have experience in fork lift work and managing stores, in-ward & out ward goods.
-Chilled & or frozen food experience needed.
-Good Communicator, Team Worker and Computer Literate.
-Must be willing to work early/late hours as demanded by the position.
-Person needs to be living with-in the area or not too far away as at times when busy trucks need to be loaded or un-loaded at night.
-Salary is €40,000.
Skills, Competencies and Experience;
Excellent knowledge of Quality and Food Safety Systems
Experience of leading a team and people management skills
Knowledge of health and safety systems
Decision making / Problem solving / influencing / Planning
Customer focus
Applicants must be resourceful, have strong motivational management skills, a relationship builder and team player incorporating an involved approach with the determination to succeed and make things happen in a changing processing/ logistical operation. Their ability to interact at all levels and the willingness to be flexible is essential to success in this role. In general the candidate should feel comfortable working in a high pressure, ever changing customer driven environment. Should be highly committed, a good communicator and be able to continually seek improvement.
