Job description: Senior C++ Engineer Based in Dublin city centre, my client is looking for a senior software engineer with 5+ years commercial experience in C++ in a Linux based environment. This is a very dynamic, innovative company that is selling solutions to the Global Financial Markets. This role has come about from expansion of the engineering team which is responsible for building high performance, real-time analysis products. You will be part of an established development team that services the Financial Markets. You will ideally have worked on IP networks, trading protocols and have experience working with market data feeds. Required skills Excellent C++ experience with 5+ years commercial experience. Experience with high-performance systems and multi-threaded application development. Proficient with templates and with the STL. In-depth experience with the Linux-based development environments, including tools like gdb and valgrind. Practical experience with packet capture analysis tools. Experience in some of the following would be highly desirable: Python, XML, SQL / DBA (Postgres/MySQL), Linux System Administration, TCP/IP Networking, Test Driven Development, Linux Kernel Development.
