IT Senior Support Engineer - Cork - Permanent Position
My client a leading technology company with offices based in Cork is seeking a Senior Support Engineer to join an existing team. The ideal candidate will be open to an on call rota providing 24/7 service for the company.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in Server Technologies and Hardware, including SCSI, RAID.
* Excellent experience with Windows XP/Active Directory, Windows 00/03/Exchange 03, SQL , Citrix, Symantec Backup Exec.
* Extensive experience with: MS Exchange, Anti-Virus, backup and recovery solutions.
* Excellent knowledge of Networks and Network printing.
* Excellent knowledge of storage hardware
Main duties and responsibilities:
* Maintain core operations of Server and Desktop environments according to agreed service level.
* 3rd Level support to all employees within region
* Perform daily server availability checks including key server on-line, including anti-virus software and monitor
* Responsible for weekly anti-virus updates including desktop/server signature files and roll outs.
* Review, updates implements and test the Disaster Recovery plan for the Server environment.
* Responsible for backup and recovery solutions
