Our client is a leading indigenous consumer goods wholesaler and distributor. Due to an internal promotion, a 12 month contract opportunity has become available for a HR/IR Manager. Reporting directly to the HR Director the main responsibilities of this position are outlined below:

  • Representing the Company in Industrial Relation matters including leading negotiations with employee representatives.
  • Representing the Company in appropriate third party discussions including the Labour Relations Court, Employee Appeals Tribunal and the Rights Commission.
  • Providing advice and assistance to our Business Partners on all aspects on Employment Law, Employee and Industrial Relations.
  • Providing advice to Line Managers on best practice in employee relations.
  • Supporting change and project initiatives within the Division.
  • Playing an active role in relevant cross-functional and cross divisional projects.
  • Lead key HR projects as required by the Business.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • 3-5 years experience in a senior HR position within a unionised large organisation.
  • Extensive experience of representing organisations in third party discussions.
  • Strong negotiating and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A relevant third level degree e.g. Business or Law
  • Strong project management skills.
  • An excellent working knowledge of current employment legislation.
