Job description: Safety Officer
One of our clients is recruiting a Safety Officer.

Job Description:
Ensures safety, health and welfare compliance with regulatory requirements and with company policies, global standards, and procedures for assigned location;
Supports Corporate and Business Unit SHE strategy and objectives, contributes to development and implementation of global SHE programs and promotes local alignment with same;
Requires communicating effectively with all levels of management, directing operations personnel and project teams, as appropriate;
Develops permitting and compliance strategies;
Addresses risk prevention opportunities including hazardous materials exposure, spills, releases, accidents, fires, or other unsafe conditions;
Creates and maintains databases & records containing pertinent safety and welfare metrics and data.

Position may have cross-functional responsibility for technical/managerial support, oversight, and supervision within assigned area of responsibility. (May include
Occupational Health, Transportation, Security, Fire Protection and other support/services at applicable facilities.)

2-3 years experience required.
