The role of the Purchasing Executive is to assist in planning and execution of purchasing and procurement processes for spends across the organisation. This includes acquiring resources within budget and facilitating communication between the company and its providers in order to deliver products and services according to requirements.

Duties and responsibilities
 
- Participate in development and implementation of all purchasing policies and procedures
- Maintenance and management of centralised database of products, vendor contacts, contract terms, renewals dates and owners.
- Maintenance and management of procurement logs for various licenses, services, warranties and maintenance renewals.
- Management of documentation flow from order to delivery.
- Tracking and management of data services contracts and purchases.
- Assist the team in processing all purchase orders and invoices as per the agreed processes.
- Negotiate pricing, terms and conditions of sale for various products and services with suppliers
- Participate in regular review of preferred suppliers and product/services costs.
- Regular review of purchase processes.
- Participate in identifying, interviewing and qualifying process of potential new vendors in order to secure more cost-effective sources of products and services

Experience and Qualifications

- Minimum 1 year direct work experience in a purchasing or procurement capacity
- Familiarity and technical competence with purchase management software and/or automated procurement systems
- Some knowledge of current IT technologies
- Some knowledge of Dataservice providers and services/products.
- General knowledge of accounting, finance, accounts payable
- Excellent knowledge of Excel, Microsoft word is a must.
