Premier Recruitment is currently seeking a Accountant to join a highly successful, highly progressive US multinational in their facility based in Shannon, Clare.
Basic Purpose
The fundamental purpose of this role is to support the Finance Manager in regard to all operational activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Support Finance Manager in driving teams to meet financial commitments and continuously find opportunities to improve financial metrics.
· Complete monthly reporting package, analyzing results versus estimates and prior year, as well as providing input on CM movements, VCP, head count, mix and backlog.
· Analyze and monitor manpower utilization for the manufacturing plant and associated liquidations.
· Conduct investigation and explanation of all material variances
· Own and execute obsolescence and FIFO calculations, WIP aging analysis, and liaising with operations on cycle counts
· Act as finance representative on Material Review Board
· Assist with month end close process for Oracle Inventory, AP, AR and PO modules
· Ensure all inventory and material accounts are reconciled on a monthly basis in compliance with business requirements
· Assist with Quarterly SROs, Annual Op Plan, S2 and Growth Playbook
· Update standard costs in real-time for newly received items
· Drive and monitor base cost and variable cost productivity projects for the plant
· Ensure adherence to US GAAP and Local GAAP requirements
· Assist Finance Manager on all other matters as required
Required
- Business Degree/Recognized accounting qualification
- Minimum 1 - 2 years finance experience
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is desireable but not essential
- Experience with Oracle highly desired but not essential
