Reporting to theLogistics Manager/Supply Chain Manager
Responsibilities:
· Issue Purchase Orders for non-stock and stock requisitions.
· Place and expedite PO's for NPI materials
· Provide feedback at daily materials meeting regarding overdue parts.
· Ensure that no shortages impact production and Stock levels are optimised.
· Avoid premium freight charges for deliveries of raw material.
· Maintain close links/relationships with all key suppliers.
· Become familiar with AVL's and ensure compliance at all times.
· Maintain relevant files for suppliers, purchase orders, acknowledgements, reports etc.
Requirements:
· The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
· In addition candidates should have or be pursuing a qualification in
· Purchasing (APICS/Diploma in Purchasing or other similar course).
· Experience of computerised systems is essential (eg. ERP)
· Good working knowledge of Excel/Word/Powerpoint/E-Mail is a requirement.
