Job description: PROCESS TECHNICIAN

My client is a major player in the pharmaceutical/medical device industry in Ireland and a first class employer.

We are currently seeking a Process Technician to contribute to process improvements in a highly regulated environment. Reporting to a team of engineers, the technician will be required to have at least one year's experience of implementing hands on process improvements and have the desire to work within a company for whom quality and excellence are key.

The manufacturing process technician will be a key part to the further development of the site. The person will play a pivotal role on improvements regarding lines of manufacturing and be an integral part of the team on continuous improvement / lean manufacturing & six-sigma projects in-house.

Job Description:

• Involved in running projects to improve first pass yields, processing time, unit cost and ensure compliance
• Evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment.
• Develop or revise documents and procedures
• Will work with metrics of scrap tracking/trending/reporting and root cause analysis
• Will be involved in Cost Reduction Projects

Person Specification:

• Certificate or Diploma in Engineering, science or related discipline.
• 2+ yrs experience as a manufacturing / process technician within a high-medium vol manufacturing environ
• Should demonstrate problem solving/process improvement experience
• Advantageous: Six Sigma experience, Yellow Belt / Green Belt experience, formal troubleshooting
