Purpose of the Role:
Drive continuous improvement throughout the production area in relation to the process, the product and the equipment.
To fault find, troubleshoot and resolve all process related issues
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
" Drive continuous improvement in relation to value engineering of product, quality improvement of the product, process improvement and input into equipment projects
" Integrate new and best practice technologies
" Involvement in equipment improvement projects
" Add value by reengineering the process to facilitate full capacity run rates
" Investigate overtime issues as a result of equipment difficulty
" Involvement in product trials working in real process situations
" Involvement in product alterations and investigation of affect on equipment and process
" Work with meat blocks and least cost formulation
Knowledge and Experience:
" Knowledge of meat products
" Knowledge of cooking process (adding elements, taking away elements)
" Knowledge of meat and its components
" Knowledge of food processing equipment
" Knowledge of low cost formulations
" Experience in a fast paced environment essential
" Experience in a manufacturing environment an advantage
Qualifications:
" Qualification in food science diploma or better
