My client, a leading pharmaceutical company in Cork is looking to recruit a number of Biotechnicians.

Reporting to the Production function, Biotechnicians will work in process teams that are aligned with the production value stream, and will be committed to continuous improvement and learning, process understanding, personal development, and demonstration of production techniques that will result in agile manufacture of our products.

The ideal candidate will have:
Certificate, diploma or degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field is desirable OR 2-4 years industrial experience in a fast paced industrial environment, preferably in pharmaceutical, biotechnology, chemical or similar businesses.

• Demonstrated evidence of high performance in a continuous improvement oriented work environment. Excellent interpersonal skills, team orientation, attention to detail, problem identification and solving skills using Right First Time (6-sigma) techniques.

• Facilitation of an environment of open and team based communication where all members of the Process Team work together to ensure that business targets are met. Strong ability to lead, challenge and positively influence in an interactive team environment.

• Experience in working in a biologics plant or clean room environment would be an advantage.

• Experience with technology transfer from an R&D organization would be an advantage.

• Demonstrated ability to contribute to the delivery of site, team and personal objectives.

• Demonstrated ability to work on own initiative and proactively respond to business needs.

• Demonstrated understanding and use RFT (6 -sigma) techniques and lean manufacturing concepts.
