A manufacturing company in Westmeath are currently looking for a HR Generalist.
Purpose of Job:
This position will support the day-to-day operation of the HR function in strategic partnership with the business. The position will be responsible for implementation of all human resources activities to ensure the company ability to attract high-quality employees, train, develop and motivate them to contribute towards the company's goals. This individual must understand how to utilise effective human resources programmes to achieve competitive advantage. The position will also support company goals and objectives, policies and procedures, quality systems, and FDA regulations.
Major Duties and Primary Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Selection
· Coordination & Planning of recruitment campaigns in line with headcount forecasts. Advertise vacancies in appropriate media, develop job specifications and short list applicants..
· Organise Interview Teams and make recommendations to Management regarding the appointment of new employees.
Employee Relations
Provides guidance and counseling to managers and employees on employee relations, employee discipline, and performance issues by providing coaching, interpreting company policies and procedures .
Investigates employee allegations by interviewing appropriate parties, gathering information, providing feedback to the employee, and making recommendations for corrective action to prevent recurrence of situation.
Proactively identifies potential employee issues by participating in functional management and employee meetings on a regular basis.
Promote employee wellbeing so that employees remain productive & effective.
Performance Management
· Continuously contribute to improvement of HR processes and systems to support high performance work teams and drive waste and inefficiencies out of process.
· Support Managers on the Performance Management process to drive a culture of continuous performance management within the organisation.

Requirements:
Education
Bachelor's degree in Business or related Discipline - HRM Content preferred.
Experience
5+ years of related work experience with a strong understanding of specified functional area ideally within a manufacturing site (or an equivalent combination of education and work experience).

Ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
Strong influencing skills.
High levels of personal motivation & initiative.
Strong IT skills.
Excellent presentation skills.
