 My client a leader in their field in the area of Travel and Tourism are looking to appoint a Head of Ancillary Revenue.  This is a new role in a company which has had 60% growth year on year for the past four years with a rapid growth trajectory.  It is a very exciting to come on board please see details laid out below:


Role & responsibilities:
 
- Refine current ancillary revenue offering and renegotiate contracts with existing product providers

- Identify , evaluate and develop business cases for new ancillary revenue opportunities

- Negotiate contracts with ancillary product providers and oversee the successful implementation of the agreed ancillary revenue projects

- Hold P&L responsibility and deliver the ancillary revenue targets as defined by senior management

- Develop and manage the relationships with all external ancillary revenue product providers

- Monitor ancillary revenue performance by geography and by the partners through the development of structured tracking and reports

- Work with all relevant internal departments (e.g. IT, Account Management, Call Centre, Customer Service) to ensure the highest level of operational efficiency and customer service

- Manage all aspects of Service Level Agreements and product & technical support from ancillary revenue product providers

- Constantly monitor the market in general and the direct competition in particular to ensure the ancillary product offering is optimal, complete, and competitive

- Research consumer behaviour psychology to ensure that all ancillary revenue products are sold in the most optimal fashion

 

Key competencies:

- Significant experience and a track record in leading high level negotiations with an ability to influence key decision makers

- High levels of motivation, drive, dynamism and energy: the business is on a rapid growth trajectory and requires the successful candidate to match this. -

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Strong financial/commercial acumen and experience in managing budgets

- Excellent relationship building and management skills

- Resilient, clear and independent thinker and an ability to make quality decisions even in high pressure situations

- Experienced in the online selling environment
