Job description: Contact: Deirdre Finnerty 091 730022 Email: Assistant Plant Controller Reporting to the Plant Controller, the successful candidate will be part of the finance team and will be responsible for compiling and reporting monthly performance of the plant to strict deadlines. They will also be responsible managing and supervising the finance department to ensure compliance with all of our client's policies and procedures; in addition to driving change within the department and looking for new and improved systems to reduce non-valued activities. Key responsibilities include: · Vies / Intrastat / VAT reporting · Compile and issue Monthly Management Report · Liase with other departments on monthly overhead expenditure · Internal and External Audits · SOX audit · Assist with annual Plans and Updates. · Participate on Project teams as requested. · Perform other Financial functions as requested. The successful candidate should: · Be educated to degree level or higher in a business or finance discipline · Have at least 6 years relevant accounting experience, at least 3 of which in a supervisor role within a manufacturing environment. · Have a demonstrated ability to work on their own initiative, coupled with excellent organizational and strong leadership skills
