Financial Accountant

The candidate will be fully qualified ACA/ACCA with 3-5 years financial accounting experience gained in a practice or financial services environment. The candidate will ideally have experience of International Financial Reporting Standards as applicable to the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

 Management accounting and financial reporting

• Preparation of financial statements for structured finance transactions in accordance with accounting and regulatory requirements within agreed deadlines
• Preparation and issue of management accounts and other regulatory reporting
• Review and preparation of files and packages designed to assist audit of financial statements
• Liaise with auditors and any other internal and external parties necessary to prepare, approve and issue reports / financial statements
• Management of annual audit process to ensure efficient and timely completion of audit
• Provide input and guidance to portfolio administration teams to ensure financial transaction data is captured in administration systems on an ongoing basis to ensure sufficient information is retained to facilitate financial statement preparation
• Partake in special projects as required

Requirements:

• Good knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards and of the financial instruments standards in particular
• Strong numerical and accounts preparation skills
• Have a good understanding of structured finance products and financial instruments
• Ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision
• Self motivated, innovative and analytical
• Good understanding of accounting systems
• Proficient with Excel
