Job description:

Our Client a global leader in the FMCG market are looking for a Assistant Category Manager to join their busy team based in Citywest.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that there is excellent support for the Category Development team through indepth knowledge of all category development tools & processes
• Develop and maintain category plan-o-grams using space planning software
• Become an expert in tracking & communication of trends from the major data sources eg Nielsen /Dunnhumby/TNS
• Continuously find new and better ways of proactively sharing market information with the business
• Immerse yourself in all available market information (trade press, internet, market data, store visits) sharing insights with the team
• Support category projects with our customers
• Work with the team to support all change initiatives to find better ways of working

Role Requirements

• Third level degree (preferably in a business discipline)
• Excellent numerical & spatial ability

• Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly computer literate (Advanced Excel/Access, Word, Powerpoint)
• Knowledge of Spaceman, Dunnhumby, Nitro and advantage
• Be enthusiastic about finding better ways of working
• Demonstrate a good understanding of the FMCG industry
