My client, an expanding and innovative Co. Meath based engineering company currently have a vacancy for a PURCHASING MANAGER
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the complete Purchasing function to include management of junior purchasing staff.
Responsibilities will include:
· Responsibility for company's procurement function
· Manage business relationships with suppliers
· Negotiate prices and service agreements with suppliers
· Manage timelines for materials and keep operations informed of potential issues that may hinder completion of projects within deadlines.
· Manage 1-2 purchasing administrators
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a senior purchasing position
- Experience in an engineering/mechanical industry is essential
- Strong negotiation and reporting skills
- Attention to detail
- The ability to foster good professional relationships with suppliers, senior management and project managers
