Job description:  Our client, a leading financial services institution, has a current vacancy for an experienced mortgage underwriter to join their team. You will ideally have 2-3 years experience in an underwriting role and will have a solid understanding of retail banking products.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Underwrite restructuring applications while maximising return on investment for the business

* Maintain and develop a high standard of customer relationships

* Prepare and present restructure proposals to the Credit Committee

* Provide assistance to the collections team and the Senior Debt Restructure Manager


Skills & Experience

* 2-3 years mortgage underwriting experience

* Strong retail banking knowledge

* Awareness of industry legislation around AML, data protection and the Mortgage Code of Conduct

* Strong relationship building skills and interpersonal skills

* Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast paced environment

* Certificate in Mortgage Practice or QFA is highly desired


Salary €30.000- €38,000
