Job description: Job title: DATA ANALYST Contract Type: Permanent Job purpose: Analyse and challenge data from multiple sources including IT systems, build tools to reconcile the data and develop reports for analysis. Our Client are implementing a new Finance System - Oracle Financials and Responsibilities: - Working from a number of internal and external data sources, analyse data in order to effectively interpret and present information - Ensure that Operational activities are in line with Financial expectations - Work with IT and Operational teams to solve any unexpected variances - Work with finance team in order to determine requirements to design and build financial tools for reconciliations - Develop and run reports on a regular basis, both ad hoc and routine - Design, improve and implement financial processes / internal controls for existing and new business. - Manage all Financial IT systems In addition: - Person specification: - Undergraduate degree in relevant area - Excellent IT skills - Access and Advanced Excel a must - Structured Query Language (SQL) - Experience in working with large volumes of complex data - Attention to detail and accuracy - Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter with the ability to work independently and think creatively - Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, work under pressure and meet deadlines - High level of personal drive and energy with an ability to confidently deal with senior stakeholders as appropriate
