Job description:

My client is a young Irish owned company.   Their core business is the development of products that slow the ageing process.   The products will be sourced from both in-house R&D and in-licensing/acquisition activities.   Based in Dublin they now have a senior vacancy for a Commercial/Business Development Director.

The Role:

This is a senior position with hands on responsibility for driving the commercial stratege of the company and for each of their product opportunities.    The position will report to the Chief Execturive and represents a key role with their core managment team.    There will be some international travel.

Critically assess commercial potential of new product development and acquisition opportunities, including market reviews, competitive assessments and targeted market research.
Identify optimal commercialization strategies and product positioning
Work closely with our research and development team to help determine objectives and eesign of trials to be conducted to support product marketing claims and patenting activity
Work closely with their regulatory advisers to ensure all products and product claims comply with applicable regulations and legislation

Essential qualifications and experience:

3rd level university degree or equivalent and ideally a further business qualification
Strong marketing and commercial/business development experience in the consumer healthcare OTC market.  Some sales experience would be an additional advantage.
Well networked in the consumer health industry with outgoing personality and ability to present to commercial partners and at industry conferences
Entrepreneurial, reliable, outcome-driven and collaborative, with the ability and desire to work as part of a small executive team
