Assistant Person in Charge - Co Cork

This Nursing Home is a 134 bedded (with an additional 5 beds to be added over the incoming months) state-of-the-art facility offering Long Term, Respite & Convalescent Care in a friendly, professional, home from home environment. Established in 1989, is located in Mallow, only 25 minutes drive from Cork City and within a 15 minute walk from Mallow train station. This role is to support the Person in Charge in the management of staff and the provision of resident care to ensure the highest professional standards, using an evidence based, person-centred approach. This is a hands on role that requires flexibly and adaptability to ensure that all work practices meet the criteria in accordance with The National Standards For Residential Settings For Older People & The Care & Welfare Of Older Persons in Residential Settings Regulations.

Requirements

Ø Candidates must be registered with An Bord Altranais

Ø Candidates must have at least 3 years experience out of the last 6 years in Aged Care.

Ø Have up-to-date knowledge of HIQA regulations

Ø Preferably hold a certificate in Gerontology and a management qualification

Ø Promote an ethos and culture of quality assurance within the clinical area, identifying and establishing benchmarks and KPIs in consultation with the Person in Charge
