Job description:

Important role in an expanding company present in more than 80 countries with many pharmaceutical and consumer health products used by millions of patients around the world. This role is due to expansion in their Dublin site and would be reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager.

• To manage the purchasing of all raw materials and packaging materials for use in the production of pharmaceutical products and medical devices where necessary.
• To interface with the Production Department and the Warehouse to determine material requirements to ensure the timely supply of approved material to Production.
• To ensure that specific requirements are clearly communicated to suppliers.
• To interface with suppliers on issues of quality, documentation, delivery, price, customer service.
• To facilitate the communication of miscellaneous purchase requirements to suppliers, in conjunction with the user department.
• Other tasks as directed (project work etc.)

• To perform all Purchasing activities in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practice and adhere to the requirements of the EU Council directive for medical devices 93/42/EEC and EN 46001.
• To maintain records to facilitate the supplier approval process, and performance monitoring process.
