A software company in Galway are currently looking for a Software Developer.
There will be two aspects to your role. Firstly, you will apply your knowledge of the latest Microsoft Tools (e.g. Visual Studio Team System) and software development lifecycles to coach customers (and internal staff) on Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
Secondly, you will be a member of a team, architecting high quality, well-tested solutions for our customers to help solve their business challenges. You will use current technologies and be familiar with .NET (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, Web Services) and established Web (HTML, ASP, VBScript, JavaScript, XML, CSS), tools to accomplish your assignments. For data access, you will primarily make use of Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle databases.
Performance Objectives:
Improve development processes and technical aptitude of our customers (and internal development teams) by training/consulting based on your ALM knowledge.
Design, develop and test applications using the latest Microsoft tools (Visual Studio, SQL server) to complete assignments that comply with our customer's business requirements. As a team member, you will be required to provide regular and concise updates to your team.
Maintain your technical competence. You will be required to maintain and demonstrate technical competence with new releases of Microsoft development technologies/tools (MCPD).
You will have an active participant in projects, involving the full project lifecycle from design to implementation. You must understand various application development technologies. You need to demonstrate this understanding by having a minimum of four years software development experience and a strong technical background.
