The Company:
Our client was established in 1998 to participate in the development of Ireland's water and wastewater infrastructure. They operate in the development of water and wastewater assets providing water supply, wastewater treatment, plant operation and maintenance services for both industrial and municipal clients. Due to internal restructuring an opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified Engineering Manager.
The Role:
Due to the continued expansion of the organisation they now require an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to supervise, plan and direct both preventative and corrective maintenance programs in a large and complex Waste Water Treatment Plant. Experience in both Mechanical and Electrical systems are necessary. Proficiency in computing, preventative maintenance programming and recording and relevant experience in leading a team of crafts people and sub contractors in the waste water industry are essential pre-requisites. Additional experience in commercial decision making, spares procurement and stores managing would be of benefit.
Responsibilities:
• Authorise Maintenance Purchase Orders
• Maintain legal records for up to date certification of site pressure vessels, lifting equipment, PAT testing etc.
• Manage service contracts, ensuring good value.
• Deputise for O&M Manager
• Analyse Reactive vs. Proactive Maintenance and
Make changes as necessary
• Find Ways of making maintenance savings and prolonging asset life
• Line Management of craftsmen and store keeper. Ensuring coordination of maintenance between treatment processes.
• Authorise PO's
• Write relevant sections of Operations and Maintenance reports
• Signing off completed Work Orders
• Ensure all equipment and corresponding servicing / calibration requirements are current
• Ensure all information put into database is accurate, complete and up to date
• Own site Asset Management Plan and administer client's Capital Replacement Programme
• Plan refurbishment work
• Produce monthly and annual reports
o Work completed (preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance)

o Look ahead
o Spares and consumables used
• Minor projects manager i.e. Plant Improvements, liaise with Op's to plan / schedule shutdowns etc
The Candidate:
The client is looking for some one with a strong background in the maintenance
Preferably a degree in electrical engineering as this is probably the most complicated aspect of the plant. The candidate will primarily be in charge of the mechanical side of maintenance but with a view to taking over the electrical side of things in the future.
