Construction Supervisor (mechanical piping) / Mechanical Superintendant, sought for long term new pharmaceutical building project, Belgium. Also looking for Construction Managers
Client: Global Consultant Engineering Company, Belgium
Construction Supervisor (Mechanical / Piping) Pharma (2 positions)
Start Date: 1 to start: July 2012 and another to start September 2012
Duration: Until End 2013
Location: Wavre (Walloon Brabant)
Working hours: Full time, 45 hour week
Language: English
Project: New construction pharmaceutical production building
Scope includes: Foundations, precast concrete, concrete floors, steel structures, cladding, interior finishing pharmaceutical, clean piping, black piping, E / I, automation
Yard Organization:
Report to: the Construction Manager for guidance to bring contractors through to completion
Role: You will operate within a EPCM construction team, led by the Construction Manager (English Speaking)
Working within the construction team, you will coordinate and monitor piping activities (clean piping & black piping)
(contract value approximately €20mil )
Responsibilities
1. In cooperation with scheduling engineer, you will participate in the day-to-day planning and scheduling of work
2. Coordinate Timely issue of work permits
3. Ensures elected contractor has latest specifications and drawings in possession.
4. Alert management re potential delays due to material or information falls short
5. Assigned axis, is the mentor for a Responsible Safety Particular contractor
6. Inspect the work constantly execution for compliance with job specifications, drawings and codes of practice
7. Causes test to be taken, Various hold points, arranges for, and / or witnesses Such tests in accordance with the quality control plan
8. Continually review the terms of contract in order to ensure compliance by the construction contractor. Generate fieldwork orders for additional work or changes
9. Participate in the weekly work meeting with Client and Contractor
10. Monitor and reports achievements in order to work qualification status or progress. Reviews remedial actions if they become Necessary
