Job description:  

Our Multinational Client based in the Midwest has a requirement for a General Manager. This is a Key appointment and will suit individuals with extensive experience working with MNC's or related industries.

Duties:

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the plant.
• Maintain effective logistics, manufacturing and distribution systems and ensure that continuous rationalisation projects are set in order to produce products more efficiently.
• Liaise with appropriate government authorities regarding plant and product compliance.
• Liaise with all markets in all product supply & quality issues.
• Responsible for the development and implementation of plant budgets.
• Manage plant capital plan within approved limits.
• Be the key people leader for the site, with strategic focus on talent management, colleague communications & positive employee relations.
• Lead Sustainable Compliance Initiative activities at the site ensuring the targeted timelines are met.
• Chair Plant Quality Council and ensure strategies and corrective actions are in place to remedy issues and continually improve plant quality

Education & Experience Required

• Bachelor degree in related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years' work experience in world class MNCs or related industries, of which 10 years in a similar capacity in production, technology and logistics.
• Adaptable to a changing and highly challenging environment with the capacity to influence and change local culture
• Proven experience in managing large and complex projects
• Possess a high level of personal integrity, interpersonal and leadership skills.
