Buyer/Planner (12 month contract)
Description:
Our client has been motivated by the belief that less-invasive medicine could help clinicians improve patient care by reducing risk, trauma, cost, procedure time and the need for aftercare.
We are currently seeking applications for Buyer/Planner (Contract) role within the Logistics group.
The Job purpose is to provide business planning support to the Senior Planner/Buyer. To have an excellent knowledge of customer/market requirements. To relay and understand the plant commitments and identify any constraints that may occur.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis & maintenance of all business planning related reports, files & documents.
- Negotiation & presentation of plans with all levels of management in the plant & with the external demand planning & marketing contacts.
- Analysis, reporting & commit response to all backorders in line with company goals.
- Preparation of weekly/monthly reports with full detailed analysis of plant & product performance.
- Drive production lines to achieve build plans.
- Support senior management in the preparation of adhoc summary analysis reports & presentations.
- Is an influential team member, fully motivated to achieve & demonstrate best practices in line with the department & site objectives.
- Maintenance & compliance to company policies & procedures.
- Project Management for a variety of Process Improvements.
Qualifications:
- Advanced Excel and dBase systems skills essential.
- Minimum 4 years demonstrated successful experience in a planning/marketing environment. Health care Industry experience would be an advantage.
- Formal 3rd level Business / Commercial education.
- APICS certification preferred.
