 About the company:

An Internal Auditor, qualified or part qualified accountant, required by this PLC listed travel group as a result of an internal promotion. This group is rarely out of the news and a ground breakers in their field so it's an exciting environment to work in.



About the role:

Reporting to the Internal Audit Manager, you will be responsible for conducting risk based financial, compliance and operational internal audits and identifying opportunities for control and process improvements across the organisation.

Key responsibilities will include:



  • Assisting in planning internal audit reviews including the attendance at scoping meeting with senior management and the preparation of audit programs
  • Conducting risk based internal audits of a financial, compliance and operational nature in line with agreed scope, timeline and budget
  • Identifying internal control and process improvements during the execution of audit reviews
  • Developing practical and value adding recommendations to assist management improving business operations.
  • Attending exit meetings to discuss audit findings with management
  • Drafting internal audit reports and liaising with management to finalise reports
  • Assisting in following up prior review findings to ensure identified risks are adequately addressed
  • Assisting the Internal Audit Manager in strategic internal audit activities such as annual planning, status reports, monitoring of plans/ budgets etc


About you:

To be considered for this role you will hold a degree and have at least 2 years audit experience from a chartered or industry environment. You will be responsible for adding value and improving the organisations operations therefore the ability to work independently and as part of a team and strong analysis skills are essential. Part or full completion or ACCA, CPA or ACA are essential for this role
