COMMERCIAL MANAGER

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this position will be responsible for the delivery of the budget sales and margins for the overall retail element of the division for a leading Agribusiness brand in the South East.

The position will have the following key responsibilities:

? To oversee, control and monitor the development of all retail stores.
? To lead the central retail function, whilst also working as part of the overall senior commercial management team of the Agribusiness division.
? To develop category plans to meet network wide growth and margin expectations within an overall commercial and competitive context.
? To form an integrated category management and marketing approach aiding in development of marketing strategies around ranges, promotions and developing the brand name.
? To produce clear and concise three year strategic plans, supported by annual business plans
? To develop and enhance in store standards, with the view to achieve standards of “retail excellence”.
? To deliver uniformity of branches by ensuring agreed suppliers and stock listing are implemented as per planogram.

The successful applicants will have the following experience and qualities.

? Third level qualification in Agriculture / Business or related discipline.
? A proven track record of driving sales and achieving targets in a retail environment with a minimum of 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
? Proven commercial acumen to meet strategic and operational goals.
? Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate and lead colleagues.
? Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
