Job description: A Limerick based food distribution company requires a Procurement Manager. Duties: You will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing fresh food stocks on a daily basis aligned to operations and sales requirements. Lead in quality, delivery time and price negotiations on a daily basis. Set procurement policies reflecting criticality of products, supply and demand issues. Proactively identify and develop partnerships with key suppliers. Supplier management inline with agreed key performance metrics. Product range development complementing existing offering. Creation and distribution of critical input data to other departments, i.e. updates to nominal price list, changes in supply conditions etc. Requirements: You will have 3 years combination of buying and selling experience in a fast moving environment. Business degree or APICS/IPICS/IIPMM qualification preferred. Good understanding of other materials functions, inventory control and accounting desirable. Extremely strong negotiation skills in a fast, dynamic, food-trading environment. ERP systems experience, PC proficient in MS applications. Strong numeric proficiency in percentages, margins and Computer literate, particularly in Excel is essential. Salary: €40-45K.
