Duties

- Qualify, select and manage suppliers, manage the solicitation process & negotiate business terms & conditions.
- Participate in the development, documentation and implementation of Procurement processes and procedures and educate suppliers and internal clients.
- Run department reports and maintain procurement databases and archives.
- Assist in the production of strategic sourcing strategies that ensures best value, effectively partnering with corporate purchasing counterparts to assist and/or lead the implementation and management of strategic sourcing strategies and supplier agreements that maximize the business benefits within the group services categories
- Support implementation of Procurement Systems
- Proactively identify opportunities for sourcing and cost savings and show continual cost reduction in managed commodity base over time

Requirements

-Procurement professional with several years experience
- the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, co-workers, and internal clients
- demonstrable experience drafting, editing and reviewing contract agreement terms.
- Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and good working knowledge of SAP (or similar system).
- Excellent negotiation skills.
- Third level qualifications in business or related discipline
